It was Malcador who, in the cold machinery of Imperial justice, oversaw the execution of the Emperor's own commands—though he never signed a death warrant for Roboute Guilliman, who remained loyal and was never sentenced to death. That single act of carrying out the Emperor's will, even when it meant sacrificing himself on the Golden Throne, defined Malcador's character: absolute, unflinching loyalty to the Emperor over all else. By the 41st millennium, Malcador is long dead, his body consumed by the Golden Throne's psychic energies.
